The Anoka County Parks Department provides cross-country skiing trails in three different parks for you to enjoy. Hunters can apply to participate in controlled bow deer hunting by submitting an application to the Anoka County Parks Department. The department also offers unique meeting and meeting spaces in beautiful natural settings. All of Anoka County's snowmobile trails are professionally prepared and maintained by local snowmobile clubs.

The department works in collaboration with three local snowmobile clubs and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to provide panoramic snowmobile opportunities on designated trails. The goal and long-term management plan for white-tailed deer within the Anoka County Park System include inventorying and closely monitoring deer population densities through winter aerial surveys and maintaining deer population densities between 15 and 20 deer per square mile. Not only does Metro Transit offer its regular bus routes, but it also has Dial-a-Ride services and uses the voluntary transportation network, through which Anoka County volunteers can transport seniors and local veterans. Anoka County is a great destination for those who love outdoor activities.
